3 ways you can help the vanilla communities of Madagascar

Sponsor a project or enter a joint venture

Sponsor a project with the assistance of A&H Canada and our partners in the vanilla region. Primary schools are our primary focus. There is a critical need in the vanilla regions of Madagascar for primary schools. A&H Canada in partnership with a respected local construction firm can help your company undertake such a project. Whether it be the construction of a new school or rehabilitation of an existing school which are often in terrible condition. Smaller projects such as drinking water and hand washing stations at the schools can also be undertaken.

All school projects are first approved by the minister of education. Our website illustrates several successful projects completed to date.

Make a donation to CALA (committee for leprosy relief in Antalaha)

Making a donation to CALA will ensure the ongoing viability of the 2 dynamic villages that have been created by CALA in the Antalaha region. They serve as a refuge for the families afflicted by leprosy but also other abandoned and disenfranchised children.

Make a donation to Macolline or JHA (Joey Helps Antalaha)

Working in conjunction with CALA these two organization are all about educating the local population. Whether it is the dangers off “slash and burn farming”, the advantages of “eco-tourism” using guides and the trails of “Macolline”, or even learning a 2nd language like English to communicate with the outside world, the common theme is to enable and empower the local population to take control of their lives so that they can make their communities better.
